As one of the four global navigation satellite systems recognized by the United Nations, Chinese President XI Jinping  announced  its official commissioning of BDS-3 in the year 2020. Now it could provide seven types of services, including positioning, navigation and timing, global short message communication, regional short message communication, international search and rescue, satellite-based augmentation, ground-based augmentation, and precise point positioning.For international cooperation, BDS has conducted compatibility cooperation with U.S. GPS, Russian GLONASS and European Galileo at systematic level, as well as the standard advancement of BDS entering international organization standards, such as International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Maritime Organization (IMO), Search and Rescue (SAR) satellite and Mobile Communication. Openness and Transparency is  what we desire, cooperation with countries and international organizations is what we devote. 2021 Photography Contest in International College of UCAS

    This photography contest is held to promote cultural exchange and communication, enhance interaction, and build a platform to record the international development of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.      I. Object of participation: unlimited     II. Call for entries: July 23 2021 - September 9, 2021     III. Requirements of the works.   (1) Photography works should have prominent themes and realistic contents, and the selected materials should reflect the internationalization process of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese University of Sciences or the local customs of China, and international students can present the local customs of their countries, landscapes or portraits are welcome.  The content of the work should be positive and relevant to the theme.    (2) The shooting tool is not limited, the electronic version of the photo format should be JPG, 8-12 million pixels, the manuscript can be a single picture or a group photo (no more than 4 pictures). Please name the file as follows: unit + name + name of the work, and attach a brief description of the work within 100 words.    (3) Photographic works must be original, post-processing is limited to cropping, brightness and color adjustment, and no watermark may be added to the photo.    (4) All entries are non-refundable and can be used repeatedly. Students from 2018 onwards should take Academic Morality and Writing Norms as it is required for graduation in UCAS.（excluding 2018 students） This course cannot be exempted. The International College will set specific online classes in the spring semester for old students and it is suggested to register and complete this course in the spring semester. 1. Application conditions: International old students who have not finished the collective teaching.  2. Registration process: Students can fill in the registration form and submit to the institute. After collecting and confirming the name list of students who want apply for the Online Course in the International College, the institute may fill the online application form before August 25th, 2021. It will aim to train senior scientific and technological talents on EO for developing countries. Its course contexts are consisted of basic theory and techniques, applications and operation practices. On the opening ceremony day, it will be the "Beijing onsite + Nepal online" mode.
