To unite the strength of global international alumni and promote the development of an international talent ecosystem, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) recently hosted the "2025 INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE GLOBAL ALUMNI NETWORK HUB DEVELOPMENT FORUM." Representatives of international alumni from multiple countries participated both online and offline, engaging in collaborative discussions on alumni network development. On-site international students actively contributed ideas and expressed their willingness to support the establishment of alumni associations in their respective countries.

The forum showcased the university’s international student training history and alumni network achievements through a thematic video. Relevant officials introduced the current scale of the alumni network, which spans multiple countries worldwide, and proposed a vision to build an integrated platform for "academic exchange, career development, and cultural collaboration," laying the foundation for future interactions.

During the exchange session, international alumni from fields such as science and technology, education, and multinational corporations shared personal growth and career development stories, vividly demonstrating the value of "UCAS wisdom" in global practice. Subsequently, participants engaged in group discussions on "Empowering International Talent Development Through Alumni Networks," delving into topics such as the establishment of regional liaison stations, cross-border academic collaboration, and mentorship programs for young alumni. They proposed actionable suggestions, including setting up regional alumni service centers and creating transnational project matchmaking platforms, providing practical ideas for the construction of network hubs.

On-site alumni information registration was launched during the forum, with international alumni submitting details such as graduation year, major, and current employer to help build a refined alumni resource database. In the closing session, the university summarized the constructive proposals generated at the forum and officially announced the launch of the global alumni network hub initiative. Alumni from multiple countries volunteered to take on regional service responsibilities, clearly expressing their commitment to leading the establishment of national alumni associations and fostering collaboration between UCAS and local research institutions/universities.
