On the morning of 10th October, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) 2021 Athletics was held at the West Athletic Field of Yanqi Lake Campus with the warm autumn sun. Seventeen international students and staff from all over the world competed in various events including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 5000m, 4*100m, 4*400m, triple jump and solid ball, winning two gold medals, one silver and one bronze medal each.
Due to the epidemic, only 63 International students were enrolled in offline studies this year, and more than 322 students attended classes online across time zones, making it a huge challenge for the College to manage teaching and learning. Through vigorous organization and continuous encouragement, more than a third of the students teaching offline signed up for the UCAS Athletics 2021. A strong and healthy body is a prerequisite for creating future and changing the world. The UCAS Athletics 2021 extended the "rich spirit, brutal body" to the international education sector and gave the offline students a taste of the dynamic and positive campus atmosphere of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, strengthening the team cohesion of the College and enriching the campus life of international students.
