2025年9月18日上午，中国科学院大学国际学院在玉泉路校区礼堂举行2025年秋季学期开学典礼，来自55个国家的417名国际学生齐聚国科大，共同开启科研探索与学术成长的新旅程。

On the morning of September 18, 2025, the International College of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) held the Opening Ceremony for the 2025 Autumn Semester at the Yuquan Road Campus Auditorium, where 417 international students from 55 countries gathered to begin their journey of scientific exploration and academic growth.

典礼由国际学院行政副院长陈锋主持。中国科学院院士吴岳良、王玉鹏，中国科学院大学副校长林晓，ANSO秘书处代表张世专及多家中科院研究所和合作机构嘉宾出席典礼。

The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Chen Feng, Deputy Dean of the International College. Prof. Wu Yueliang and Prof. Wang Yupeng, Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Lin Xiao, Vice President of UCAS, attended the ceremony, together with representatives from the ANSO Secretariat and guests from multiple CAS institutes and partner organizations.

中国科学院大学副校长林晓致欢迎辞，鼓励同学们充分利用国科大“科教融合”的科研优势，勇于探索前沿科学问题，追求卓越、坚持不懈。

UCAS Vice President Prof. Lin Xiao delivered the welcome address, encouraging students to take full advantage of UCAS’s unique integration of education and research, explore cutting-edge scientific questions, pursue excellence, and persist with determination.

ANSO副主任张世专在致辞中强调，ANSO奖学金致力于促进国际科研合作，希望学生们将科研成果回馈社会，为全球发展贡献智慧和力量。

Mr. Zhang Shizhuan, Deputy Director of the ANSO Secretariat, stated that the ANSO Scholarship aims to promote global scientific collaboration and expressed hopes that students would contribute their research achievements to the advancement of humankind.

中国科学院工程热物理研究所田振玉教授介绍，国际学院已开设82门全英文课程，学院集结中科院优质科研资源，为国际学生提供高质量教学与科研平台。

Prof. Tian Zhenyu from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics highlighted that the International College now offers 82 fully English‑taught courses, supported by top scientific resources from CAS institutes, creating a strong academic and research platform for international students.

汉语教师代表孔艳艳表示，语言是走近文化的桥梁，教师们希望与学生成为亦师亦友的伙伴，帮助他们融入中国。

Chinese language instructor Ms. Kong Yanyan emphasized that language is a bridge to culture and that teachers hope to build supportive relationships with students and help them better understand China.

来自埃及的新生代表Hager在发言中表达了对在中国科研生活的憧憬，认为来到国科大不仅是学术生涯的新起点，也是深入了解中国文化的重要机会。

New student representative Hager from Egypt shared her excitement and expectations, saying that studying at UCAS is not only a new academic beginning but also a valuable opportunity to learn about Chinese culture.

典礼上举行了“我在中国做科研”短视频大赛颁奖仪式，该活动记录了留学生在科研生活中的真实瞬间，多位学生和科研团队获得金、银、铜奖及跨文化交流奖。吴岳良院士及张世专副主任为获奖师生颁奖。

The ceremony included the award presentation for the ‘My Scientific Research in China’ Video Competition, which documented real moments of international students conducting research in China. Multiple students and research teams received Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Intercultural Communication Awards. Academician Wu Yueliang and Deputy Director Zhang Shizhuan presented the awards to the winning faculty and students.

随后，“科技中国 IC-UCAS 国际讲堂”项目正式启动，该项目将邀请全球顶尖科学家与青年学者分享前沿科研成果，促进知识与文化交流。

This was followed by the official launch of the ‘Sci-Tech China · IC‑UCAS International Lecture Series,’ which will invite leading scientists from around the world to share frontier scientific progress and promote cross‑cultural scientific cooperation.

林晓副校长为主讲嘉宾吴岳良、王玉鹏院士颁发“科技中国 IC-UCAS 国际讲堂”主讲人证书。

Vice President Lin Xiao presented the “Sci-Tech China · IC-UCAS International Lecture Series Speaker Certificate” to Member of CAS Wu Yueliang and Wang Yupeng, the keynote speakers of the project.

嘉宾、教师代表与全体学生在典礼后合影留念，随后学生们聆听了由院士带来的“开学第一课”。

After the ceremony, guests, teachers, and students took group photos, and students then attended the ‘First Lecture of the Semester’ delivered by academicians.

开学典礼在热烈的掌声中圆满结束。青年学子将在国科大共同成长、投身科研，开启属于自己的科学征程。

The ceremony concluded with warm applause. young scholars will learn, grow, and contribute to science together at UCAS, embarking on their new academic journey.
