To all Doctoral Candidates,
In accordance with the academic regulations of the International College (IC-UCAS), the G2024 Ph.D. Qualifying Examination (first chance) will be conducted as follows:
1. Purpose
The Ph.D. Qualifying Examination (QE) is a critical milestone in the international students’ doctoral training of UCAS. A comprehensive test scheme is designed by IC-UCAS. It evaluates students’ academic foundation, language capability, Communicating and cooperative ability to confirm their eligibility to continue the doctoral program.
2. Sign up
Students should submit the application form to the general office of IC-UCAS or finish the online registration before March 9th, 2025 .
Online registration will be done in the official QE link where also the personal report being submitted.
3. Rules
To sign up for the Examination, a student should be aware of the following rules:
· A student who does not register for the QE at the required time will lose one chance by default.
· A student who failed in the first chance may take the QE at the end of following semester.
· The student who fails the QE twice within one year will face the termination of his/her fellowship and Ph.D. program.
4. Results and follow up
The results will be released on the international college website in April,2025 at the earliest by the general office of IC-UCAS.
