Philosophy of biology has become one of the most vital areas of contemporary research in philosophy of science. It both addresses fundamental questions together with general philosophy of science and provides applicability in specific problem domains. In order to strengthen academic exchanges among young scholars of philosophy of biology in China and to promote the progress of cutting-edge research, the Institute of Philosophy, Chinese Academy of Sciences has decided to hold this workshop.
